DAWN HAUPTNER | FOUNDER

Dawn Hauptner is the Founder and creator of TechnoArts Academy, an innovative elementary school for grades Kindergarten through 5 with a focus on Computer Science, the Arts and intensive Literacy. The goal of this school will be to provide our students an opportunity to excel on new Florida’s Assessment of Student Thinking (F.A.S.T) and become highly proficient readers, writers and academically successful.

 

During the years creating TechnoArts Academy, Dawn was involved in the Education Industry, Marketing, Commercial Real Estate and the Financial field. During her numerous years in the education industry, she was involved in the operations of a successful charter school, created a foundation for the school, installed numerous educational programs, established various fund-raising and recruiting events, and was instrumental in keeping the educational business financially sound. Dawn’s unique marketing and recruiting plans increased the student enrollment by nearly 20% over the first two-year period it was implemented and brought visitor attendance at events up to record numbers.

In the Real Estate sector, Dawn was a land specialist working with National residential builders in acquiring large parcels of land for redevelopment gaining good business relationships with many city officials in Palm Beach and Martin Counties. She also specialized in investment properties, commercial leasing, and finances.

 

Dawn graduated with a Master of Business Administration (International Business) from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Science in Law (Corporate Law) from Florida Gulf Coast University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

KEVIN MCCARTHY | BOARD CHAIRMAN & TREASURER

Kevin McCarthy specializes in investment sales in Palm Beach county and the Treasure Coast as an Investment/Commercial Broker for Anderson Carr & Associates. This includes industrial, office, retail, land acquisitions, and build-to-suit developments. His past experiences include various leasing and planning of the development projects in South Florida. Most recently he has worked on structuring tenant placement and build-to-suit developments. Prior experience includes debt restructuring with distressed asset-based lending, accounting, and finance.

 

- Working within the securities and investment field

- Served as a Certified Financial Planner and Registered Investment Advisor

- Over 20 years in the Commercial Real Estate marketplace

- Served as Senior Vice President at Colliers International in Investment Sales Market

- Raised private equity on the acquisition and servicing of distressed debt in the asset-backed markets

KIMBERLY WICKNERTZ | SECRETARY

Kimberly is originally from the Northeast but calls the world her home. With a degree in Hospitality Management, Kimberly began her career as a Manager of Financial Operations for an International cruise line that travels mostly to the Caribbean and Mexico. She has a strong background in sales and management supported by international travel and experience within the hospitality industry.

 

Kimberly obtained her Florida Certified Public Accountant license and traveled throughout the US, Europe, Canada, and South America implementing Accounting Software for Fortune 500 companies. Wanting to settle down and begin a family, she streamlined her experience in the travel industry and accepted a local Regional position with the Department of Treasury. She currently works as a Realtor with Tina Fanjul Associates.

SUSAN BONING | DIRECTOR

Susan Boning has worked in the field of education for nearly 35 years. Throughout this time, she has taught elementary school students through the university level. For the past 13 years, she has been teaching English as a Second Language at Indian River State College in Stuart. In addition to teaching, she proctors the TABE and CASAS tests at Indian River.

 

Previously, she was a Reading Instructor at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville and was a substitute teacher at the University of Florida while earning her Master’s Degree in Education.

 

After she obtained a communications degree from Florida Atlantic University, Susan worked in the fields of public relations and marketing. Among various responsibilities at Barbara Gordon Associates, Advertising and Public Relations Agency, Susan authored numerous press releases and researched market demographics to help increase theclient base.

AARON FERRARIS | DIRECTOR

Accomplished, versatile, dynamic, collaborative, tech-enabled and well-qualified professional with 25+ years experience as Sales Leader. Exceptional leadership skills and vision to drive the department and work under pressure and strict deadlines with excellent organizational, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills, with extraordinary focus and follow-through abilities. Expertise in managing groups that focus on solving problems for Fortune 100, midmarket, and startup companies. Highly collaborative and inclusive leader who maintains a positive culture while increasing top-line revenue for organizations. Proven track record of performance and commitment as well as being able to deliver business value to the sales operation and customer. Excellent customer relationship management experience and out of the box thinking and can develop innovative ideas for solving everyday problems more efficiently.
